System Administration is considered to be the most critical function of any organisation. It deals with systems, network and data security. It enhances the operational capability and employee performance. A smooth and stream lined system administration is an asset to any organisation. It takes care of user system maintanance, local networking and access rights with regards to the internet and vital organisational resources. The security and intergrity of the organisational data and information lies with the system administrator. Hence, the role of system administrator is very crucial to the organisational setup. This course highlights some of key aspects of system administration and variuos tools that can be used to perform these functions effectively and productively enhancing the operational efficiency of the users.

Its true, every computer in the world has its own system adminstrator. Every system need to be administred whether its standalone home computer or networked domain-linked computers. The usage and application need to be monitored closely and finetuned to assure better operational efficiency and effective use of system resources. Left to its own, system will auotomatically start and use many resources that are not required which will inturn end up with eating more of system resources, finally leading to the total breakdown of the system. So the most important aspect for any system administrator is to understand the system and decide which process is required and which is not. This course will give an insight to the world of systems and opening up many built in tools and features that help us to identify and track the system.
